We are a group of flight sim enthusiasts who decided
to take a different approach to virtual air traffic
controlling. Our approach is to supply "global" ATC
services to our pilots. This means our sessions will
offer gate to gate ATC (ie. clearance delivery thru
engine shutdown) to all our pilots any time they fly
with us anywhere in the world they wish to fly. To
accomplish this we have gone back to the early days
of ATC service when the skies were far less congested
and the pilots were not required to have the volumes
of SIDs, STARs and other charts required in today's
world. We rely on controller vectoring and tracking,
and pilot navigation to get aircraft from departure
thru arrival. Also we control the weather on the server
allowing us to know globally which approaches and runways
will be active at any given airport. This system works
well with all types of flights from a VFR hop in a Cessna
172 to a trans-oceanic IFR flight in a Boeing 777.Though
the ATC service is "vintage" there is no limitation on
what type of aircraft can use the service. We are happy
to provide service
|
to all types of aircraft from vintage
to the most modern, from the smallest to the largest, from
fixed wing to helicopters, and from the slowest to the fastest.
Our controllers are extremely patient and specialize in
working with those who are new to flying under ATC. This
is supposed to be fun so our intent is to remove as much
of the stress as possible so all, from the first timer to the
most experienced, can have an enjoyable flight. Our servers are
online and available to our pilots 24 hours a day. VintageATC
servers support both FS2004 and FSX. Check the calendar page
to see our current ATC session schedule. Whether you have an
interest in vintage, military, or modern aircraft this is the
place for you to fly. We provide a clean, safe, and friendly
flight environment for simmers of all interests. Our pilot base
is presently made up of predominantly FS2004 users and our
intent is to continue supporting FS2004 well into the future.
We are an ATC service and do not require minimum flight hours,
or track pilot flight hours. |
